JOB REQUIREMENTS: Talgo, Inc. has immediate openings for experienced andmotivated Mechanicto join the team in Milwaukee, WI. We are seeking amechanical mindset and an interest in working with train cars. Talgowill provide specific training on the equipment for individuals who havethe right attitude, basic manufacturing experience and the willingnessand ability to learn new skills quickly! Mechanic Major Job duties andresponsibilities include, but not limited to: Installation, operation,maintenance, troubleshooting and overhaul of Rail car and systems asdirected. Fabricate and install seats, work interior/exterior trim,outbound inspection, inspect & install trucks, vestibule by performingvarious functions such as: Must have a strong mechanical background towork on train car underframe (de-trucking, re-trucking) coupler assemblyand disassembly and brake assembly/disassembly. Measuring productdimensions using standard and metric rulers Follows established StandardWork Instructions Involved with problem solving and continuousimprovement efforts Performs in-process quality inspections, completelyand accurately filling out production paperwork Daily inspections ofvehicle The interpretation of maintenance and operational manuals andgeneral housekeeping requirements. Inbound inspection, diaphragms,removal of seats, apply emergency equipment, drop ceiling panels, renewdoor operator, windows, air brake valves/hoses. Test air brake/doorseals, Q.C Repairs Install emergency and fixed windows, body & sidedoors Mechanic requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent,required. Technical certification preferred. Knowledge of HAZCOM,equipment/system specifications, lock out/tag out and cutting equipment.Must have experience working in a production environment. Mustunderstand measurements and basic math. Must know how to use both astandard and metric ruler effectively. Must have experience withentering data into system and basic computer skills. Must be detailoriented and good with multitasking. Must be able to stand still forlong periods of time. Must be able to twist, bend, reach with arms andhands, handle, grasp and/or feel with hands. Must be able to lift up to50 lbs.
