2nd shift Medical Device Assembler

Job Description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily in a clean room environment.

The role involves the formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations, production of medical devices using a microscope, and operation of various equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.

Follow manufacturing instructions and accurately update relevant job documentation for traceability.

Prepare products for packing and sterilization.

Inspect products using a microscope.

Ensure activities comply with GMPs.

Set up coating machines and perform coating processes.

Inspect and fold balloon catheters.

Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations.

Test formulations.

Package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.

Identify supplies that need replenishment.

Build components needed for top-level work orders.

Complete required cleaning activities.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in English (medium level).

Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Comfortable standing for the entire shift.

Experience with microscope inspection is preferred.

Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.

1+ year of experience in the medical device industry.

High School diploma or equivalent education.

Work Environment

This role primarily operates in a cleanroom environment.

Candidates must be comfortable standing for the entire shift and working with chemicals.

The work schedule includes two 30-minute breaks: one off-the-clock lunch break and one on-the-clock break, instead of two 10-minute breaks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
