Description

As a Patient Registration Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience during the registration process. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Appropriately identifying patients and confirming their identity.

Collecting accurate and thorough patient demographic information.

Obtaining insurance details and verifying eligibility and benefits.

Determining and collecting patient financial liabilities.

Referring patients to the Patient Registration Specialist for financial counseling or clearance when necessary.

Adhering to organizational policies and procedures for resolving patient financial liabilities.

Serving as an information resource for patients and families, explaining hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and Patient Rights and Responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous experience in healthcare registration or related field preferred.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and entry.

Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and HIPAA regulations.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
