Asphalt Paving Laborer - 3 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/2024-12/01/2024.

　　Duties: The paving laborer position is responsible for assisting with the pouring, smoothing, and setting of blacktop and asphalt on roads, pathways, and in parking lots. They will also rake, sweep, and line out the roads and parking lots, as well as work alongside tractors, mills, pavers, and screeds. Additionally, paver laborers help prepare pavement saws and measure lines and cleanup daily, offload trucks and gather tools, shovel, rake, and sweep general surfaces, operate wheelbarrows on blacktop and stone, maintain the cleanliness of equipment and worksites, and occasionally flag or direct traffic near working crews. Lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Employer provides transportation between multiple worksites in ravel to worksite locations within Saratoga, Rensselaer, and Albany Counties from designated location: 19 Sun Oil Rd., Rensselaer NY 12144.

　　Drug testing is required after hire but before the commencement of employment at the employer's expense for all workers, both domestic and H-2B workers.

　　Work days: Mon-Fri (Sat work required, when necessary), 5:30am-6pm, 60 hours/week at $25.28/hour. Possible OT at $37.92/hour. Raises/bonuses may be paid at employer discretion based on work performance, skill, tenure.

　　A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

　　Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

　　H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

　　Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.46/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
