　　This position is in Garnett KS within District Four with the KansasDepartment of Transportation

　　Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

　　Provides professional administrative management and direction of allphases of construction, maintenance, fiscal and personnel matters in adesignated area.

　　The Area Engineer represents KDOT with cities, counties, and localcitizens. The person in this position will provide effective leadershipto their assigned work unit.

　　This includes such things as leading by example, providing priorityoutcomes, quarterly performance feedback, timely performance reviews,coaching and counseling, discipline, and providing employeeopportunities for employees under his/her supervision.
