Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Architect will be supporting the PMG GTSC Group in the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction and/or alteration of buildings.
This is a part-time, on-call position based in our Subic, Zambales office. The hourly pay range for this position, based on the market data, is Php250 to 350 per hour (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).
Key responsibilities:
Compile data for comprehensive facilities use and feasibility data to be used for capital improvement and long-range planning.
Perform design work for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for real property facilities.
Interpret and adapt traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards.
Compiles data for architectural plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.
Prepare for plans for existing buildings where plans are not available.
Conduct preliminary studies of proposed projects to obtain information as to space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of drawing.
Prepare scale drawing of details required for contract drawing including preparation of design development drawings.
Prepare “record” drawings on completion of construction.
Prepare layout and draw preliminary sketch pf project to present to client.
Develop and/or coordinate development of detailed working drawings and specifications after approval for project has been obtained.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
Must be a Registered Architect.
Must have a minimum of 5 years in design and field experience.
Experience and familiarity with Federal building design criteria and construction guide specifications is an advantage.
Willing to learn and adapt to various situations; multi-tasker.
Adequate relevant training.
Proficient in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office Applications.
Excellent oral and written communication and skills.
Can adapt to current and latest architectural innovations.
Possess excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new technologies.
Possess a Philippine passport and a driver’s License.
