　　DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis role is a limited term technical position that specializes in identifying black flies and mosquitoes. As part of your responsibilities, you will conduct examinations and identify these insects to assist in determining control measures. You will collaborate with vector control and update vector management based on ongoing investigations. Moreover, you will be part of the state-wide rapid response team for West Nile Virus, conducting thorough surveys on mosquitoes and viruses as required for control operations.

　　Work Schedule and Additional Information:Limited term wage employment.Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Overtime required and involves identifying and isolating insects which is a continuation of the normal workday. This is all dependent on sample load. 　　QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:A bachelor's degree with a major in a biological science, natural science, environmental science, or natural resource management, including or supplemented by six college credits in freshwater aquatic biology, aquatic ecology, aquatic botany, water pollution biology, entomology, limnology, or closely related aquatic science coursework; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six college credits in freshwater aquatic biology, aquatic ecology, aquatic botany, water pollution biology, entomology, limnology, or closely related aquatic science coursework.
