The Apprenticeship Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating statewide apprenticeship initiatives and grants, reviewing apprenticeship agreements, facilitating apprenticeship meetings, researching apprenticeship trends, and coordinating and administering industry related academic program accreditation initiatives.

Assists the Apprenticeship Coordinator in building relationships throughout the Colleges service delivery area (SDA) and, when appropriate, outside the SDA, between private businesses/industries, governmental agencies, and the College to establish and maintain apprenticeship programs.Assists the Apprenticeship Coordinator in promoting apprenticeship opportunities to students and ensures that all required paperwork on the students part is completed and maintained.Assists the Apprenticeship Coordinator in supporting employers, students, and other key partners with challenges encountered with apprenticeship programs and works to remediate these challenges.Assists the Apprenticeship Coordinator by providing technical assistance to businesses/industries and works to keep their requirements for completing documentation at a minimum.Assists the Apprenticeship Coordinator in preparing reports, statistical data, correspondence, and other materials related to responsibilities with apprenticeships.Assists the Apprenticeship Coordinator by researching academic and apprenticeship related resources and materials, including professional literature in the related field(s).Attends professional development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences.Other duties as assigned.
