Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and CertificationsRequired:
Graduation from high school or completion of GEDMust possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of a safe drivingrecord, and maintain a safe driving record for continued employmentSafety sensitive positions are subject to random drug and alcohol testingMust obtain a Class 1 Colorado Distribution or Wastewater Collectioncertification within 12 months, with the ability to advance to a Class 2certification within two yearsMust be able to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver License withtanker endorsement within 90 days of employment (training and testing paidfor and provided by the City of Westminster)Aptitude and desire to pursue a career in construction/labor trades to buildand maintain public utilities and infrastructure and to become a certifiedwater operator (State of Colorado Water Distribution and/or WastewaterCollection)
Preferred:Previous work experience and/or education in construction, equipmentoperation, manual labor, and/or skilled trades (plumbing,electric, mechanical, etc.)Basic experience and/or education in water or wastewater fieldKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of CPR/first aid
