Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative, scalable models and tools aimed at tackling novel challenges within Amazon’s global fulfillment network. Collaborating with fellow scientists from various teams, you will work on integrated solutions to enhance fulfillment speed, reduce costs, and minimize carbon emissions. Your in-depth comprehension of business challenges will enable you to provide scientific analyses that underpin critical business decisions, utilizing a diverse range of methodologies. You’ll have the opportunity to design scientific tool platforms, deploy models, create efficient data pipelines, and streamline existing processes.

Basic Qualifications
We seek an experienced scientist with a solid foundation in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields. In-depth familiarity with optimization, stochastic modeling, and algorithm design are prerequisites. Proficiency in Python is a must, and knowledge of AWS technologies is a plus.Preferred Qualifications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
