  TITLE: Applications Engineer - Senior

  DUTIES: Plan, conduct analysis, architect, develop, test, implement, integrate and support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution set and the underlying technology components as part of the global integrated business processes. Consult with one or more client groups, either internal (e.g. order management, supply management, finance, manufacturing, dealer channel, etc.) or external (e.g. dealers, suppliers). Assist in development of business requirements (process), information requirements (data), and constraint requirements (rules). Develop system requirements and identify alternatives with associated costs and business benefits for solutions that use SAP R/3, Steelcase enterprise technology standards, or emerging technologies. Review and compare requirements against SAP standard functionality. Design and customize software systems and processes as required by business. Perform configuration, testing and training. Document changes done for new objects. Transfer data from legacy systems to new SAP systems. Participate in various testing cycles at different stages of projects. Provide 'run the business' IT support and enhancements. Performance Tuning, Debugging and Code Optimization of ABAP/4 programs using debugging tools, SQL Trace, Runtime Analysis and Performance Analysis. Position requires up to 5% domestic travel.

  REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study. Seven (7) years of experience in job offered or a related job in software development or SAP Enterprise Resource Planning. Experience must include: working with SAP ABAP, Fiori, and HANA; working with EDI, XML, SQL, HTML5, Java Script; working with integrations to SAP/non-SAP systems, and customizing SAP systems, software solutions, and enhancements; work as a lead for End-to-End Global implementations, legacy systems support, and integration; knowledge of Record to Report (RTR) and Source to Pay (STP).
