Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Technical Lead Analyst for its Irving, Texas location.
Duties: Assist the team in developing ETL solutions using Apache Spark and Hive. Conduct performance tuning Spark jobs. Perform data replication process to effectively utilize cluster resources. Analyze data usage patterns in Bigdata lake and provide effective means to process and store the data. Migrate and upgrade current Spark jobs to the latest version of Cloudera implementation. Make changes to Spark framework to process various adjustment feeds and make data available on-time for business users. Design and develop distributed applications to provide data for regulatory reporting tools. Provide expertise and advanced knowledge of applications programming, and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint. Create and maintain high level (HDL) and low level (LDL) design documents with System architecture, business use case documents. Analyze different data sources and verify data accuracy. Perform map and gap analysis to determine the Approved Data Sources or Strategic Data Repository and map the data demand to the source system. Convert business requirements into software application. Perform data reconciliation to ensure the completeness and the accuracy of data to be provisioned for supporting Key Regulatory and Management Reports. Develop trusted relationships with clients, and act responsive to client requests related to products and services. Review client product demands, develop project plans, and ensure that software development life cycle (“SDLC”) implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Review and optimize ETL jobs performance and resource utilization. Review client priorities with respect to project schedule, ensuring timely and quality delivery within the budget. Perform application integration, scheduling, and maintenance. Mentor and train junior team members. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or related field and 7 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer, or related position involving developing distrusted analytical applications. 7 years of experience must include: Coordinating with technical and business teams to develop and maintain distributed applications; Developing and debugging Spark jobs used for processing various adjustment feeds with Java; Apache Spark for processing adjustment feeds; Storing and organizing data with Hadoop; Developing and running scripts with Linux; Converting financial/banking needs into technical requirements; and Developing analytical Impala quires and performance tuning for exiting Spark jobs.
