Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software helps you analyze, understand, and report on your business. EPM refers to the processes designed to help organizations plan, budget, forecast, and report (https://www.oracle.com/in/applications/performance-management/products/narrative-reporting.html) on business performance as well as consolidate and finalize financial results (https://www.oracle.com/in/applications/performance-management/products/financial-consolidation-close.html) (often referred to as “closing the books”). EPM solutions are primarily used by CFOs and the office of finance, while other functional areas, such as HR, sales, marketing, and IT, use EPM for operational planning, budgeting, and reporting.. While often tied to Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems, ERP software complements EPM by providing management insights in addition to top of operational data. In other words, ERP is about operating the business—the day-to-day transactional activity—and EPM is about managing the business—analyzing, understanding, and reporting on the business.
Sales Consultants need and Customers expect demos with customer specific, current / recent data and periods. EPM Application consultant is the front runner in exploring the new features of the product and convert them into Demo stories to take it to the customers with its fullest potential.
The candidate has to build Applications to cater the functionality and make it available for the sales consultants/Partners to use in their Demos. Ensure the EPM product capabilities are show cased to its right sense and in terms of solving a business problem. The successful applicant will join a dynamic and committed team and will be exposed to a varied and handling workload including early exposure to new developments in Oracle EPM applications viz. FCCS, EPBCS, PCMCS, ARCS, EPRCS.
Responsibilities
DEATILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review and manage Demo contents
· Create, load and maintain budgets within application & Actuals from Downstream applications.
· Manage required adjustments, reconcile and publish reports to Dashboards in the Master environment.
· Responsible for testing impact of upgrades and new releases on transaction processing; including entering and follow-up of bugs with development
· Interaction/Integration with multiple applications viz. Oracle Fusion applications; including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, Projects, Global Intercompany System, Supply chain Management, Human Capital Management and more.
SKILLS:
· Proven Techno-Functional experience of developing, implementing or supporting Oracle EPM Applications
· Good work ethic, with an ability to take ownership of issues and see them through to a satisfactory resolution
· Excellent communications skills, including an ability to understand and explain complex problems and solutions.
· Solid skills in the organisation of personal tasks, able to react to changing priorities and challenging timescales
A self-starter, equally effective when working independently or in a team environment
Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and implement unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5-8 years of software engineering or related experience and 3-6 years of Techno-Functional experience in Financial Close Consolidation Or Planning Module.
