NATURE OF WORKAs a member of the town's Information Technology (IT) Division, theApplication Systems Administrator will provide exceptional,service-focused, and reliable customer service and communication in handlingservice requests, incidents, changes, and releases. The ApplicationsSystems Administrator works under the general supervision of the BusinessOperations Supervisor and in collaboration with the IT Division Team Members.The Application Systems Administrator is required to perform work in a mannerconsistent with and exemplary of the town's PRIDE philosophies and thetown's Equal Opportunity Employment policy.
SUPERVISION RECEIVEDThe Application Systems Administrator works under the direct supervision ofthe Business Operations Supervisor to carry out assigned duties,functions, roles, and projects in both routine and complex circumstances.

Provide technical support, system configuration, integration, changemanagement, testing, implementation, performance tuning, and overallapplication management to all enterprise applicationsAssist in designing, scripting, testing, debugging, and documentingapplicationsUse troubleshooting skills and problem management to diagnose issuesPerform application releases to the production environment following changemanagement proceduresCreate reports and write queries in support of business teamsManage, triage, and prioritize incoming user support requests, includingoperational issues, technical defects, data problems, and data reportingissuesCollaborate with Systems Administrator and Business Operations Supervisor toassist with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), automation/efficiencyopportunities, and deliver quality services to customersEffectively communicate with all stakeholders and vendors to assess needs,describe changes, manage projects, and maintain budgetsMaintain and cultivate Customer Relationship ManagementRecord and maintain licensing compliance tracking and accountingTrain users and peers to ensure adequate knowledge distributionRegularly perform security audits of town security parameters

The Application Systems Administrator position participates in the SharedFleet Vehicle Program, which requires an annual motor vehicle record checkPerform research as directed, such as discovering new technology or tools,market research, etc.Perform related duties as established by law/ordinance or reasonablydirected by the townAssist other town departments/divisions, as necessaryMay participate in town employee committees, projects or assignments asrequiredOther duties, projects, initiatives, and activities assigned by theBusiness Operations Supervisor, IT Manager, Town Manager, and Department HeadsEducation, Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL TRAINING
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience inthe management of Applications2 years of experience in the IT field of work using project change, andproject management methodologiesDemonstrated experienc supporting enterprise software, testing anddeployment, and/or other relevant software products or programming languagesDemonstrated experience with technical project execution involvingcross-functional teams, exposure to project management processes requiredBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, orrelated field from an accredited college preferredExperience managing applications using Microsoft Windows operating systems andTCP/IP network environmentsEquivalent combination of education, training, and experience whichprovides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATESMust have a current Colorado Driver's License or the ability to obtain oneupon hire, that meets the Town of Windsor's standardsNetwork, Computer, and/or Software related certifications, or theability to obtain them preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESKnowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of technologymanagement (Project, Change, Problem, ITIL, etc.) and of thecurrent trends in Information Technology, and how to apply them to publicsector service deliveryExperience & knowledge in the following areas: Cloud services,
