Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking an entry-level Application Engineer. Our client is a manufacturer representative for industrial equipment for the process industries focusing on mixers, tanks, pumps, and heat exchanges. The Application Engineer will apply engineering principles to translate the mechanical and process requirements of customer specifications into the most advisable and competitive equipment selections. They will be responsible for utilizing proprietary vendor-supplied software and Adobe Acrobat to prepare specifications and create customer quotes. This individual will interact heavily with vendors, manufacturing companies, and the sales teams. The ideal candidate has excellent mechanical aptitude, takes initiative, and works well independently. This is a fully remote position and candidates must be located in their sales territory of TN, GA, or AL.

Responsibilities:

 Sizing and selection of new equipment based on thorough understanding of customer needs

 Prepare professional quotations

 Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of product lines and aftermarket product offerings and services

 Thorough understanding of mixing related processes across a wide array of industries

 Develop and maintain relationships with key vendor personnel

 Daily communication with company sales personnel and relevant vendor personnel

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering - Mechanical (preferred) or Civil

 0-2+ years experience with the ability to read and interpret drawings Manufacturing industry experience

 Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office null
