We are offering a 12 month post-graduate program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Hospital Medicine with a start date of June 2024. The HealthPartners Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship engages APC learners in extensive training within Hospital Medicine, as well as required rotations in specialty areas deemed essential for proficiency. Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, formulating an assessment and plan, and providing necessary treatments and procedures. All work is supervised by an attending physician or APC. Sites include Regions Hospital and Methodist Hospital. Through lectures, skills training, and simulation, didactic sessions compliment the diverse rotations and hands on experiences, offering the APC Fellow the opportunity to develop clinical competence and confidence, critical thinking, interprofessional collaboration, and professional development. This helps APCs successfully integrate into practice at an accelerated rate compared to on-the-job training. Candidates must be willing to complete a 12 month training program without interruption. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, occasional weekends, occasional evenings.
