  Job Description

  Job Overview:The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator oversees implementation of a diverse grant portfolio and provides support to staff and clients. This includes staff supervision, grant compliance and reporting, providing limited case management, maintaining documentation, and partnership development. The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator will provide intensive and comprehensive case management services to a limited caseload of survivors of labor and sex trafficking, asylees and unaccompanied youth.

  Major Responsibilities:

  Provide direct supervision to the Anti-Trafficking team

  Train, onboard, and supervise volunteers and interns associated with the program;

  Build partnerships and work alongside coalitions to improve regional services available to survivors of trafficking via community outreach, training and engagement;

  Hold a limited caseload and conduct trauma-informed comprehensive case management for foreign-born survivors of trafficking to help them feel safe, empowered and stable.

  Ensure acute client needs are met in a timely and culturally appropriate manner;

  Complete individualized initial assessment and safety planning, orientation to services, support, referral, and advocacy services by assessing and evaluating clients’ distinct needs;

  Assist clients with referrals and access to appropriate resources including shelter, physical and mental health services, and legal services to work towards a stable immigration status;

  Prepare, distribute and document direct assistance requests for clients including rent, utilities, and other payments. Maintain record of expenses in case file;

  Oversee and maintain quality documentation in accordance with grant requirements to ensure all direct service and training and outreach activities meet funder guidelines including case notes, case file documentation, service provision, training logs and reporting from partner organizations;

  Assist with oversight of program contracts including meeting program objectives, budgets, compliance, and grant reporting including drafting reports as required by funders and/or donors;

  Assist with local oversight and strategic development of IRC Oakland’s Anti-Trafficking department

  Assist in reconciling grant budgets for direct client assistance and admin funding in collaboration with the finance department;

  Participate in all IRC program meetings, staff development activities;

  As part of IRC Oakland's leadership, participate in all leadership meetings and engagements and contribute to the growth and vision of IRC Oakland;

  Other related duties as assigned.

  Key Working Relationships:

  Position Reports to:Anti-Trafficking Manager

  Position directly supervises:Anti-Trafficking Caseworkers, Anti-Trafficking Economic Empowerment Specialist, Access to Public Benefits Caseworkers

  Position indirectly supervises:Anti-Trafficking Housing Specialist, Child Protection Caseworkers

  Job Requirements:

  Undergraduate degree preferred with an emphasis in Social Work, Psychology, or an equivalent field of study;

  2+ years of relevant work experience in social services, case management, human service or related fields;

  Excellent understanding of case management principles with outstanding organizational and case-file/ document management skills;

  Experience leading teams and providing staff supervision and oversight;

  Experience with budget development and tracking;

  Compassion towards and understanding of unique needs of survivors of trafficking.

  Ability to maintain a positive, cooperative, and professional demeanor with clients and partner organizations.

  Ability to de-escalate stressful situations in a trauma-informed manner.

  Ability to work well in a team-oriented, multi-cultural work environment.

  Bilingual and culturally sensitive skills particularly relevant to underserved communities preferred.

  Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively;

  Proficiency in written and spoken English required. Proficiency in spoken Spanish strongly preferred.

  Working Environment:Hybrid work schedule, standard office environment; travel in and around the service delivery area required.

  Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

  In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
