Summary:
The Anesthesia Technician assists in the acquisition, preparation and application of anesthesia equipment and supplies, as delegated by a licensed anesthesia provider, based on competencies. They provide this service by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies before, during and after anesthesia. The Anesthesia Technician demonstrates practical knowledge in all general areas involved in the support of anesthesia. Participates in on-call and off-shift coverage as required by departmental guidelines.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) certificate. A minimum of one year Anesthesia Technician, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or Emergency Medical Technician experience.
Certification/Licensure:
Current BLS certification
