Req# 27821Aultman Health Foundation, CANTON, OHAULTMAN HOSPITALAultman Health FoundationPart Time, DAY / EVENING, 24Job SummaryPURPOSE OF POSITIONTo provide Anesthesia support in collaboration with all hospital staff in anesthetizing areas (Operating Room, Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency Department, ECT and Labor & Delivery) though stocking of supplies, medications, general equipment maintenance and cleaning of carts/equipment in all anesthesia care locations.RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONSCorrectly assembles special trays and supplies for anesthesia.Coordinates efforts with Pharmacy (when required)Performs Inventory Maintenance.Ensures appropriate inventory (par) levelsExchanges/disposes of expired product (non-narcotic)Maintains weekly inventory log/verification of Anesthesia carts/supplies (submitted to Anesthesia Office)Consistently cleans, disinfects, and checks equipment after it is used.Locks gas machine and anesthesia back stand after each case and reviews security of rooms at the end of the day.Keeps work area doors closed at all times.Stocks and checks anesthesia stations between cases:Ambu bagsSuction, circuit, trash, blades, LMAVerifies integrity of anesthesia circuit and canisters with a high pressure leak test for every new circuit or canister changeGas tanks for anesthesia machines (at end of day)Anesthesia stand for adequacy of supplies and medications for case and dayStocks, cleans and secures emergency carts used by anesthesia.Performs cleaning duties as assigned:Clean and defrost refrigerator weekly.Clean and stock anesthesia equipment room.Rotate equipment daily.Clean and disinfect gas machines.Check lime soda and change as needed.Follows proper hand washing technique.Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures to be followed in emergency or disaster situations.Functions in a time efficient and cost effective manner:Demonstrates willingness to help others.Seeks assignments when duties are completed.Seeks out waste and ways to eliminate it.Handles supplies and equipment in a cost effective manner.Abides by department and hospital rules and regulations:Displays knowledge of department policies and procedures.No more than 3 attendance occurrences in a year.Functions well in stressful situations.Adheres to dress code.Works independently and seeks guidance as needed.Works well with coworkers.Communicates pertinent information.Demonstrates ability to prioritize workload.Displays positive attitude.Job RequirementsHigh School graduate, minimum 18 years old.Display an attitude of interest and respect for people.Understand and adhere to policy and regulations.Flexible schedule required.Demonstrate mission and values of Aultman Hospital.Able to identify and complete work that may be unassigned but is important to the cleanliness and function of the Department.Is able to work with others and to take instruction.Good physical and mental health.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status.WORKING CONDITIONS:Normal working hours include but are not limited to: 5AM-1:30PM,6AM-2:30PM, 7AM-3:30PM, 8AM-4:30 PM, 9AM-5:30PM, 11AM-7:30PM,1PM-9:30PM, 3PM-11:30PM.Rotating at least one shift as needed is required.Work weekends and holidays as assigned.Department provides service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Cross training in all areas may be required and diverse duties may be assigned.Extensive walking or standing for long periods of time is required.Subject to frequent int
