This position is responsible for providing leadership, creating a team-oriented environment, overseeing daily technical operations, recruitment, interviewing and selection of new staff and is responsible for facilitating training new employees in the laboratory.Location: Onsite opportunity, in Spokane / Spokane Valley, office at our AP Lab, in Spokane ValleyYou will:Supervisie staff, including Pathologists' Assistants, Histology Supervisor and Laboratory SupervisorsMonitor department staff levels and schedulingMonitor and maintain accurate attendance employee attendance records in ADPOversee the day-to-day laboratory workflowProvide constructive and timely performance evaluationsCarryout discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policyEstablish and monitor laboratory goals and objectivesMonitor laboratory quality assurance programsMonitor department level budget and contribute to budgetary planningFacilitate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staffPerform duties of regular position, e.g., pathology assistant, cytotechnologist and/or histotechnologistPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsEducation/CertificationsBachelor's Science Degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science or equivalent Master's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, business administration, or equivalent, preferredASCP or NCA certification in Medical TechnologySkills and AbilitiesFive (5) or more years' experience in the laboratoryLeadership experienceKnowledge of Quality Improvement programs, processes, and toolsPrior experience validating and implementing new tests and technologies.Ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels, particularly peers, team members, Pathologists and other departmentsKnowledge of project planning, budgeting, human resources management, and report developmentPrior experience validating and implementing new tests and technologiesExcellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal and public speaking skillsSelf-directed, open to new learning experiences and demonstrate teamworkAbility to coordinate multiple resources effectively to accomplish a task or accept an idea through leadershipHigh level of competency with computers, the internet, and computer software such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Incyte Diagnostics is an EOE, including disability/veteransAdditional Information:Compensation is commensurate with experience and education.
