Amazon Business is seeking an experienced leader to partner with the US Public Sector business as a strategic partner with sales leaders working on pipeline, quota, territory planning, and compensation all while driving net-new initiatives focused on improving scale and automation. This role will initially be an IC role partnering with the Director and sales leaders of the Public Sector business.
The ideal candidate earns trust through performance and relationship building, thinks strategically and analytically about business challenges, has experience in sales operations and has a deep analytic background to assist the Amazon Business Sales organization in meeting its business objectives. The right candidate should have a strong record of delivering results timely and effectively. You should have experience understanding and enhancing complex sales programs for sales engagement in large, multi-national, preferably tech organizations. Strong judgement, ability to manage through ambiguity and complexity as well as a demonstrated ability to influence without explicit authority are key to success. The individual must dive deep into both the overall sales operations strategy for the business plus the day-to-day process improvements that can be made on behalf of the business.

Basic Qualifications
7-10 years of experience in Business Planning, Sales Operations, Strategy, Finance, or Business Development and mentoring a team
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
Experience working with the largest companies in the U.S. in a Sales, Sales Operations, or strategic capacity
Proven sound business judgment and ability to influence others
Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
Preferred Qualifications
10 + years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Finance, or Business Development and mentoring a team
Proven experience with the development and implementation of systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, etc.
Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
Effective analytical skills, and a proven track record leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
Proven ability to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
Experience rapidly growing an organization and attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent
Experience leading the development of department strategy

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
