Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, andSecurity. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, maintainers and engineers, you will help to enable new spaceflight designs by supporting the production of Metallic Additively Manufactured (AM) components. Our team uses process development, root cause and corrective action and continuous improvement to drive Blue Origin's bold mission! Our team achieves this by bringing new machines, materials, processing methods, and support equipment to a production state.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Special Mentions:Relocation providedTravel expected up to 0-5% of the timeResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Understand the AM value stream from start to finish including printing, post processing, thermal processing, and inspectionResearch, onboard and production harden new processes and equipment to increase quality, efficiency, and reduce cost of the AM workcenterConduct root cause investigation of issues with machines and manufacturing, and work with operations, maintenance, and outside vendors to implement solutionsMinimum Qualifications:Experience working in a Development or Production EnvironmentExperience authoring and developing manufacturing processes to improve end productProven skills with troubleshooting of industrial processes or equipment using RCABachelor's or higher in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related fieldAbility to support operations onsite in Kent, Washington and during off hours (if required) via phone or online toolsAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred Qualifications:Experience with metallic or polymer 3D printing, welding or castingExperience with fabrication methods (ie. machining, welding, sheet metal, riveting etc.)2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or a related fieldExperience with a quality management (ie. AS9100 or ISO 9001)Proficient with the use of CAD software (CREO preferred)Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training or certificationCompensation range for on site WA applicants is$83,070---$116,298 USDInclusivity StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
