  3+ years of experience in administrative support role(s) and/or related experience is required.

  Education beyond high school may count toward experience.

  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) experience is a must.

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  Proven customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills

  High level of attention to detail, ability to work independently, and work effectively with interruptions to meet tight deadlines and respond quickly.

  Ability to establish and promote good working relationships with alumni, colleagues faculty.

  Ability to manage confidential information appropriately with a high level of tact and discretion

  Ability to learn new software and databases

  Ideal candidates will have a desire to work as part of a team with an all hands-on deck approach, and maintains a “no job is too big or small” philosophy

  Additional Information:This is a 40 hours/week, overtime-eligible position.

  This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus 2 days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.

The Alumni Relations Assistant manages a variety of complex administrative tasks and works independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with multiple and conflicting priorities.

  This position provides support to the team with administrative duties to ensure smooth operations within Alumni Relations and between other HBS departments, including but not limited to:

  Managing the AR general inquiry email account inbox and phone lines;

  Preparing reports and materials;

  Drafting correspondence for internal partners in External Relations (ER), across HBS, and to alumni;

  Responding to emails, scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, reserving space, recording meeting minutes, and ordering office supplies.

  Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

  Be responsible for additional duties as assigned.
