In your role, you will
Adhere to General Work Requirements
Ensure (through discussion with Engineering and the Flight Crew) that proposed aircraft configuration changes, will not adversely affect upcoming ground or flight tests
Ensure that detailed aircraft configuration requirements (FTE Set-up Sheets) are met
Prepare, coordinate and authorize work to be performed on the aircraft, including development of the nightly work package
Act as the primary point of contact to authorize all work performed on the flight test aircraft
Serve as a focal for work package issues and provide liaison support to the various BFTC departments in support of short term scheduling goals
Provide morning aircraft status briefing to various BFTC functions
Prepare Pre-flight/Pre-Test Aircraft Configuration Briefing report and conduct briefings
Attend Post-flight/Post-Test debrief meetings and perform follow up coordination activities for discrepancies reported during testing
In coordination with Quality Assurance, plan and coordinate the timely execution of all Airworthiness Maintenance requirements, and maintain the tracking and timing of inspections, time life items and special maintenance items
Work closely with the Flight Crew and is familiar with the aircraft test schedule
Assist Lead Flight Test Engineer with the development of the short-term flight test schedule by providing input for upcoming maintenance, inspection and down time requirements.
Attend daily meetings associated with aircraft support issues and status briefings
Support offsite testing as required
Manage deferred maintenance items and coordinate resolution
Assist Project and Ground Operations with the development of downtime planning activities
As our ideal candidate
Typically 5-7 years experience in the aircraft maintenance field as a Mechanic, Technician, or Inspector.
3-5 years Bombardier Flight Test Center experience (asset)
Thorough knowledge of FPS system and associated processes
Conflict resolution skills necessary to resolve daily issues in a professional manner
