The Agile Practice Leader will lead the central Agile Transformation Team within Navistar’s Information Technology department.
This role will act as the product owner for the Navistar’s central Agile team and will lead and manage the team of Agile coaches who drive adoption of lean and agile practices; in addition to assuring the consistent and high-impact adoption of Navistar’s Agile at Scale practices across Navistar IT and within the business teams working to design, develop and support Technology Products.
The individual will collaborate closely with leaders in CIO Staff, IT Operations , and various business domains to lead expansion of Agile at Scale.
Responsibilities
Initiates and leads the expansion of Navistar’s Agile transformation across different domains / value streams to design, deliver and support software solutions and technology products.
Serves as Product Owner of Navistar’s Agile Center of Excellence. Owns and actively manages the product backlog and transformation roadmap.
Drives maturity in Navistar’s Agile at Scale practices, ensuring enterprise-wide adoption of standard working methods through coaching and training services.
Leads staffing and placement of Release Train Engineers, Agile Coaches, and Scrum Masters for Agile teams.
Partners with business leaders to plan and implement Agile training and coaching for persistent, cross-functional product teams.
Leads drafting, review, publishing, and maintenance of Agile at Scale standards, processes and learning materials.
Assures high performance of Agile practitioners.
As a change agent, drives shared accountability for outcomes at a leadership level. Implements and optimizes processes for escalating issues, risks, and addressing roadblocks to the transformation.
Fosters environment for healthy, high performing teams by encouraging transparency, the use of feedback loops and team engagement.
Initiates the launch of Agile communities of practice, contributes to the development of the Agile community mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Efficiently manages resources and budget to achieve Agile at Scale transformation and ultimately optimize DevSecOps practices throughout Navistar IT.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 10 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
At least 4 years of management experience
OR
At least 12 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
At least 4 years of management experience

Experienced in the use of LEAN and Agile practices to design, deliver and support technology solutions.
Experienced in software delivery and support using DevSecOps and related tools.
Enterprise-wide agile experience
Depth of knowledge in SAFe, LeSS and scrum-based frameworks to deliver technology solutions on a wide scale with agile
History of independent drive for results with high-performing teams and LEAN / Agile operating models.
Experience delivering technology products while working in Agile and Scaled Agile constructs.
Experience leading organizational change to adopt LEAN / Agile operating models at scale.
Experience leading software development and support with DevSecOps practices
Knowledge of best practices for software testing, product management and user-centered design.
Proficient in managing multi-disciplinary teams to achieve team performance and high individual team member performance.
Demonstrated experience navigating a large organization; ability to influence with storytelling and data.
Comfortable presenting to C-level executives as well as senior business and technology leaders.
Ability to influence without authority.
Experience collaborating with global and distributed teams. Comfortable with online facilitation, relationship building and virtual tools.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Leads with empathy and radical candor.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Motivated to achieve high standards and measurable results, iterating towards operational excellence.
