The Intern will assist the Advanced ManufacturingEngineering team in the exciting tasks of investigating new processtechnologies and working on industrializing and launching new products.They will be exposed to different manufacturing disciplines includingelectronics, electro-mechanical assembly, process mapping, LeanManufacturing, Manufacturing Testing, and Industrial Engineering. Theywill be working with a diverse group of cross-functional experts andhave the ability to shadow and learn from innovative leaders in watermeter manufacturing. Essential Job Duties: Participate in New ProductDevelopment team meetings and tasks Conceptualize and design assemblyfixtures to maintain on time delivery and high quality Work with 3rdparty vendors to design and deliver machines or fixtures on time and onbudget Work equally on the manufacturing floor and in office Utilizeroot cause analysis and lean tools to reduce waste Conduct and createtime studies, process maps, and capacity plans to help improveefficiencies Work with Manufacturing Engineers to implement solutions toimprove yield on production line Additional projects or tasks asassigned Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree inIndustrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering orrelated field Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoftproducts, especially Excel and Visio Familiarity with Lean Manufacturingprinciples Natural curiosity for problem solving and ability to quicklylearn new technologies Ability to work and communicate with differenttypes of people and functions An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative ActionEmployer.
