Job Description Summary
This Evaluation Engineering Team Lead role is for GE Aerospace’s Next Gen Commercial Programs (NGNB, Hybrid Electric, and ADNB). The Evaluation Team Lead manages development engine(s) and rigs through requirements definition, hardware instrumentation, engine assembly, site integration, & test execution. The Team Leader has responsibility for the technical planning and execution of program test plans and works closely with Systems Engineering and Evaluation Engine Owners to deliver quality results for the business. Evaluation Engineering is the conduit for all assembly, instrumentation, and test requirements. This role will leverage multiple GE systems to facilitate and advise customer requirements to doing organizations. The Evaluation Engineer creates and maintains engine and overall program schedules. This role works inclusively and horizontally with Instrumentation, Design Engineering disciplines, Component Test Sites, and others. The candidate should possess strong communications and horizontal leadership skills in order to help guide other members of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities
TSE Evaluation Engineering Team Lead for next generation programs including NGNB, Hybrid Electric, and ADNB
Serve as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Interpret Program requirements and relay to proper TSE sub-sections for integration
Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers alongside program partners
Generate budget and schedule contract proposals for test efforts partnered with minimal to no oversight
Document and communicate results of technical data generated
Lead teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives and actively cultivate a culture of continuous improvement of technical expertise and execution
Manage with evaluation teammates the development engine test assets and/or rigs tests to ensure timely schedule and test mission fulfillment
Run priority meetings and actively manage hardware delivery, tollgate reviews, and test execution
Consistent collaboration with Systems Engineering and Program Customers
Uses expertise & judgment with minimal leadership guidance to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems
Required Qualifications
Must be a current GE Aerospace employee
Ability to travel domestic and international minimum 10% annually
Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' experience in design engineering
