  About Brunswick Job Corps Center

  The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

  Position Summary:

  Join our team at Brunswick Job Corps Center as an Admissions Counselor, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of students. You will be responsible for the recruitment, screening, and coordination of new student arrivals. This role demands a proactive approach in building valuable partnerships, ensuring student success right from their enrollment into our program.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Conduct detailed screenings to assess applicants’ eligibility and suitability for Job Corps, focusing on behavioral, medical, and educational backgrounds.

  Effectively deny enrollment to non-qualified candidates while providing guidance to alternative educational resources.

  Engage in comprehensive career counseling during admissions, ensuring students are well-informed and prepared for the program.

  Act as a vital link between prospective students and the Job Corps Center, facilitating smooth enrollment and early student retention.

  Establish and maintain strong relationships with community agencies, schools, and other organizations to promote the Job Corps program.

  Organize and conduct center tours, pre-arrival visits, and parent meetings.

  Consistently produce high-quality work, maintaining integrity in all assignments and student data handling.

  Prioritize tasks to meet goals and deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills.

  Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and productivity.

  Mentor and model positive behavior as per the Career Success Standards.

  Actively participate in the development and enhancement of programs and services, ensuring they meet student needs.

  Qualifications

  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  Associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field and two years related experience required. Bachelors degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field preferred. Experience may include successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment in other youth development programs. Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements
