Shift : Days Monday – Friday days, 7:30am – 4pm

The role you’ll contribute:
The Administrative Specialist coordinates and supervises all tasks performed by the library marketing team, performs all acquisition tasks related to book and media purchases, leads the library marketing team, oversees office supply inventory and ordering, and assists the Director, as required. This position coordinates projects for the Director and produces documents and statistical data needed by the department. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Perform all library tasks related to library book and media acquisitions.
· Supervises library marketing projects performed by library staff and student workers.
· Oversee all aspects of library marketing activities (including library social media), including planning, implementation, quality control, and assessment.
· Write library newsletter articles and a variety of business communications as needed.
· Create library marketing advertisements, articles, and announcements in a wide variety of formats.
· Assist Director in communications with sales representatives regarding library products and services.
· Coordinates projects for the Director and library faculty.
· Access statistics and assist with report writing for the Director.
· Write minutes for all departmental meetings and subcommittees.
· Oversee student workers with the inventory, ordering, and stocking of office supplies.
· Serve on university committees as assigned.
· Perform other library duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
· Completed high school or passed GED
· 2 years office management or supervisory experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
1-year experience working in a library environment
Associates Degree in a field related to office management
