Responsibilities Serve as the Administrative Officer (S1) for one of five Brigades under Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Responsible for administrative oversight of functions which include military and civilian personnel, manpower, budget, records management, training, reports control, publications, and travel. Ensure that command and subordinate commands comply with HQ SDDC and other Higher Headquarter initiatives for training, reports and programs. Serve as the principal advisor to the Command on administrative matters and will provide necessary direction, instruction, and guidance to ensure successful administrative support of the Command mission. Supervise personnel assigned to the Administration Division. Review and evaluate requirements and manpower authorizations. Perform administrative, analytical, and advisory assignments relating to the Brigade manpower program and coordinate with HQ SDDC for manpower and budget guidance. Advise the Brigade on civilian and military personnel and administrative matters. Review, interpret and develop policies to ensure successful administrative support of the Brigade. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area. You are authorized to ship 350 lbs of HHG. The rest may be placed in storage at Government's expense. Shipment and Storage of HHG must not exceed 18,000lbs total.
