Description

We are seeking a person to perform administrative functions in Chambersburg, PA. The person we are seeking should have strong administrative experience, enjoy interacting with the public and our staff, be willing to become knowledgeable about municipal government regulations and administration, and should have attention to detail and accuracy. We rely on computers for recording information and communicating, so the position requires familiarity with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and using Internet applications.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing permit applications for completeness and accuracy.

Recording information in online administrative and financial systems.

Handling document management tasks such as scanning, printing, assembling packages, and filing.

Providing support to municipal government clients.

Managing phone calls, documenting conversations, and handling email correspondence.

Requirements

Strong administrative and financial experience.

Ability to interact effectively with the public and staff.

Willingness to learn about municipal government regulations and administration.

Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.

Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications.
