All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.**
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as initial point of contact for CSS program referrals; provide administrative and technical assistance to internal and external customers; answer, triage and direct all incoming calls for the program.Provide administrative support by maintaining CSS inventories and distributing materials to providers as requested; retrieve, open, and distribute incoming mail to program staff, managers and other DPH programs as needed.Monitor CSS record requests received via email and fax; utilize SENDSS, GRITS, and MM to research and process referral requests for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.Orient and train new staff in proper procedures of day-to-day operations of the CSS program; assist with developing administrative job aids and templates for processing CSS record requests and other administrative duties.Maintain office assessment for data entry and collection of referrals; organize, file, collect, upload, download and monitor SENDSS, Electronic Birth Certificate and Central Intake Data System. Annually purge documents over 3 years from files. Pay bills and bill insurance. Track client insurance status.Provide SENDSS support to office and district staff, update SENDSS as needed with disposition of programs and referrals. Provide technical assistance related to SENDSS and referrals.Serve as data entry support backup for CSS Programs; conduct data entry for CSS as needed and conduct data entry for SENDSS and MM as needed.Performs office administration duties which involve the handling of confidential information and often require extensive research and data collecting to ensure private health information is protected.Refer identified infants, children, adolescents and young adults to appropriate public health programs and community programs as appropriate, offer community reso rces according to CSS guidelines.Attend internal and external meetings as required.Minimum Qualifications:Associate's degree from an accredited college AND One year of related experienceORThree years of related experience.Preferred Qualifications:excellent customer skills, experience in tracking and data management, excellent telephone and email etiquette, ability to multi-task and work independently often with minimal supervision and willingness to work as part of a team, proficient with Microsoft Office software (i.e., word, PowerPoint, excel).
