The teaching hours fora part-time instructor vary and can include day, evening, and weekendclasses. Adjunct faculty can teach a maximum of 12 student contact hoursper week averaged over the semester. Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesPlan learning-centered instruction based on the competencies andperformance levels of the course including activities and teachingmethods designed for a variety of learning styles to help studentsachieve course outcomes and validate that learning has taken place.Maintain accurate attendance, student success, and scholastic records ofstudents; submit required reports and meet response deadlines. Meet withclasses as assigned and maintain a classroom/laboratory/shop environmentemphasizing safety, good housekeeping, and equipment security. Usecourse text, outlines, syllabi, and other curriculum materials inaccordance with college and department guidelines. Utilize learningtechnology for teaching, delivery of course content, learning,assessment, online/distance learning, and student record keeping (ex.Canvas, Starfish, Cengage, Teams, etc.) Communicate, respond toquestions, and provide consistent and timely feedback to students aboutsuccessful...
