Purpose:
The Pension Risk Transfer Pricing Actuary will be a key member of the growing Pension Risk Transfer (“PRT”) team. Working closely with our PRT, this role will be responsible for institutional product pricing processes and methods, and ensuring they are consistent, appropriate, and competitive. The ideal candidate will also provide critical input as we consider business and product developments in the PRT space.
Accountabilities:
Support financial modeling and analytics for PRT funded pricing platform
Develop enhanced actuarial models used for cash flow production and policyholder behavior, Statutory and GAAP reserves, asset liability management, and financial projections
Effectively communicate pricing results and recommendations and analysis of inforce experience to management
Support accounting, reserving, risk transfer and financial analysis related to internal reinsurance transactions with emphasis on reinsurance to Bermuda entities by working cross functionally with offshore actuarial group and affiliated stakeholders
Provide accurate and insightful model validation to facilitate confident decision-making and to achieve business goals
Implement efficient and robust pricing processes and ensure compliance with Model Risk Policies
Coordinate and review reinsurance quotations
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science or related field; Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or higher
6+ years’ experience working in life insurance, annuities or retirement industry
Experience in product development, pricing and/or risk management of fixed rate and indexed annuities
Actuarial projection and valuation software experience is essential with MG-Alfa knowledge being preferred
Ability to interact with internal management, directors and client company management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

$110,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
