About Actuarial Associate

  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description The Actuarial Associate will work on ourSmall Group ACA Pricing team, with the main focus being preparing andsubmitting rate filings. This will also involve preparing and analyzingmonitoring reports, developing forecasts, plus reviewing, and updatingpricing factors. Additionally, this position will help to evaluateimpacts of contracting or benefit changes and analyze recent experienceusing statistical programming and database tools to look foropportunities and risks within the pricing blocks. The ActuarialAssociate will work closely with our Commercial segment, partnering inproduct development as well as evaluating and strengthening ourexpanding set of ACO provider partnerships across our growing servicearea. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience inrelated field 5 years of work experience beyond degree (ex. 9 years ofexperience without a bachelor\'s degree required) Progress along theActuarial exam pathway is required Preferred Qualifications: ASAdesignation is preferred Healthcare experience is preferred Proficiencyin Excel and experience in SAS or SQL is also preferred Strongproblem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to balanceseveral projects and deadlines at once This position is a Hub role,which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designatedoffice - Minnetonka MN, Madison WI, Omaha NE - for applicable heads-upwork.
