Apple Valley Village Health Care Center is hiring a compassionate, patient and energetic individual to join our team as a Full-Time TCU Activity Assistant! In this role, you will conduct fun and exciting activities with our residents and help them enjoy their day. Activity Assistant - TCU responsibilities:

Meet with new residents for activities intake interviews.

Complete recreation assessments and required documentation.

Provide activity supplies, resources, and assist residents to attend group programs.

Assist in implementing therapeutic recreation programs.

Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.

Act as a positive representative at all times.

Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.

Perform other related tasks as needed.

TCU Recreation Specialist skills and requirements:

Prior experience implementing activity programs to long-term-care residents or equivalent education (Occupational therapy or health/human services related field) required.

Demonstrate good time management, typing, and organizational skills.

Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.

Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
