Harmony Gardens is hiring Full-Time Activities Aides to join our team in our beautiful, brand-new building in Maplewood, MN. In this role at our campus, you will conduct fun and exciting activities with our residents. 　　Our new campus opened in December 2022 and is only 2 miles away from Maplewood Mall, beautiful parks (Hazelwood and Harvest Park), and a variety of dining options. Our new state-of-the-art senior living community includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and long-term care options.

　　This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position available working 40 hours a week including every other weekend and some evenings.

　　Activities Aide responsibilities:

　　Plans and directs activity programs with residents of the Skilled Nursing 

　　Develop and Assess resident activity needs by completing activity assessments, progress notes and care planning

　　Interact and assist residents on a one to one basis outside of structured program times.

　　Document activity attendance and degree of involvement.

　　Act as a positive representative at all times.

　　Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.

　　Perform other related tasks as needed.

　　Activities Aide skills and requirements:

　　Must have a 2 or 4 year degree (preferably in recreation therapy or healthcare)

　　Prior experience working in a senior care environment preferred.

　　Comfortable leading groups as well as structuring one on one activities.

　　Demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.

　　Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.

　　Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.

　　Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.

　　Must be able to be on your feet most of the day

　　Must be flexible and willing to learn.
