Description

　　Robert Half has partnered with a successful firm in finding an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join their growing team. In this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Modesto, California area.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

　　Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

　　Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

　　Test documents and codes

　　Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

　　Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

　　Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

　　Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

　　Requirements

　　Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

　　Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular

　　2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

　　Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

　　Knowledgeable of ERP systems

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

　　Microsoft Excel experience

　　Knowledge of billing
