Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. The strongest candidates for this position will be able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk must be a self-starter with high attention to detail, in order to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Rosedale, Maryland area.

　　Confirm documents and codes

　　Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

　　Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP

　　Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

　　Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization

　　Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

　　Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

　　Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired

　　Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

　　2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

　　Current and relevant ERP system experience

　　General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred

　　Communication experience preferred

　　General familiarity with Financial Notes

　　Earlier work involving call centers

　　Research Analysis experience highly preferred

　　Comprehension of Account Discrepancies

　　Hands-on experience with Collect Outstanding

　　Previous experience working with Templates

　　Background working with Customer Account

　　Comprehensive knowledge of customer service

　　Practical knowledge of video

　　Payment Processing experience

　　Resolve Discrepancies experience highly valued

　　Experience with Retailers

　　Good understanding of Onsite

　　Sales experience

　　Adeptness in supervising

　　Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

　　Demonstrated knowledge of scanning

　　Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
