Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team, based in Garden Ridge, Texas. The role will be focused on the utility/electric/gas industry, where the selected candidate will be expected to support the Finance Department. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the processing of invoices and ensure the reconciliation of vendor statements

• Maintain and manage accurate payable records

• Serve as the point of contact for suppliers for any inquiries and invoice disputes

• Facilitate monthly closings and keep payment records up-to-date

• Verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, and computer printouts

• Undertake data entry tasks related to accounts payable

• Carry out additional responsibilities related to accounting as assigned

• Utilize accounting software systems for various accounting functions

• Manage account coding and accrival accounting tasks

• Work with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Quickbooks Online, and Sage Intacct systems

• Carry out auditing tasks and work with the Concur system. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, ensuring accurate and efficient financial records.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Software Systems, including but not limited to Quickbooks Online and Sage Intacct.

• Familiarity with Concur for efficient expense management.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for streamlined business process management.

• Solid understanding of various Accounting Functions, focusing on Accounts Payable (AP).

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles and practices.

• Proven experience in Auditing, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Proficiency in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

• Familiarity with Quickbooks Online for efficient and accurate financial management.

• Experience with Sage Intacct, demonstrating a commitment to utilizing advanced financial management tools.
