Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lafayette, Colorado, primarily serving the non-profit sector. This role provides a short-term contract employment opportunity, where you will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our accounting functions, with a particular focus on accounts payable.
Responsibilities include:
• Utilizing accounting software systems to process and manage accounts payable
• Implementing account coding for accurate tracking and categorization of expenses
• Regularly auditing accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Managing and resolving customer inquiries related to accounts payable
• Utilizing tools such as Concur and ADP - Financial Services to streamline processes
• Applying knowledge of accrual accounting to manage financial records accurately
• Executing transactions through Automated Clearing House (ACH)
• Working with NetSuite to improve efficiency in accounts payable processes
• Preparing for audits by ensuring all accounting records are up to date and accurate
• Utilizing ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in the non-profit sector
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems for financial management and reporting
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services for payroll and benefits administration
• Familiarity with Concur for managing expenses and invoices
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for integrated management of core business processes
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions, especially Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in Accrual Accounting principles and practices
• Experience in Auditing, including audit preparation and execution
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for electronic funds transfers
• Experience using NetSuite for financial management, planning, and analysis
• Ability to prepare for and participate in Audit Prep activities.
