Accounts Payable Specialist

Direct-Hire / Permanent position

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable professional to join our clients accounting team! In this role, your primary focus will be to handle customer credit applications, maintain customer records, and resolve any customer inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

· Accurately input invoices into accounting system on a daily basis.

· Match purchase orders to invoices

· Ensure appropriate GL account coding is applied to invoice.

· Communicate with vendors questions and resolve discrepancies

· Reconcile vendor statements.

Our client offers a tremendous health insurance package, 401k auto-contribution, and paid time off package for all employees.

Starting pay is up to $25hr depending on experience.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential for this role

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proven ability to meet deadlines

• Knowledge of general accounting procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to Accounts Payable

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
