Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the education industry at our Devens, Massachusetts location. In this role, you will be tasked with managing the accounts payable functions for our university, including processing invoices, handling payments, and utilizing accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices on a regular basis

• Utilize accounting software systems such as NetSuite to manage accounts payable functions

• Handle ACH payments efficiently

• Conduct data entry tasks related to accounts payable

• Address and resolve discrepancies in invoice processing

• Use Microsoft Excel for accounting functions and data management

• Monitor and manage accounts payable records

• Ensure all accounting functions align with university policies and guidelines

• Assist with check processing procedures

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Check Processing procedures

• Data Entry skills

• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies

• Experience with NetSuite software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations

• Previous experience in a similar role within the Education or University sector is desirable

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• High level of integrity and professionalism.
