Description We are offering a contract for an Accounts Payable Clerk position at our CPA firm based in SYRACUSE, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts payable transactions, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Bill.com to process invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

• Assist in maintaining and updating W-9 forms for new vendors before processing initial payments.

• Keep accurate records and documentation for all transactions.

• Manage the accounts payable ledger and support with month-end closings.

• Download and enter client credit card transactions for expenses, including proper coding.

• Prepare various reports related to accounts payable.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role within a CPA Firm or similar industry

• Proficiency in using financial software such as QuickBooks and SAP

• Solid understanding and practical experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with account reconciliation tasks

• Demonstrated ability to perform check runs

• Familiarity with coding invoices

• Strong data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Experience in invoice processing, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
