Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. In this role, you will be a vital part of our finance department, focusing on the management of our accounts payable. You will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including processing invoices, managing customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a short-term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient and accurate processing of invoices, checks, and other financial documents

• Ensuring compliance with company policies through daily processes and controls

• Providing high-quality service to business partners within the company

• Assisting with internal and external audits as necessary

• Managing incoming department mail, including opening, sorting, and distributing

• Verifying, logging, and mailing checks, with a focus on special handling when necessary

• Undertaking special projects as assigned by the finance department

• Maintaining detailed records of all transactions and updating the general ledger

• Resolving any issues related to accounts payable in a timely and effective manner

• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Check Runs effectively

• Skills in Coding Invoices

• High proficiency in Data Entry

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks
