Description Robert Half is urgently seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Columbia, South Carolina area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

　　Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

　　Implement full-cycle A/P

　　Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

　　Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

　　Perform special projects as assigned

　　Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

　　Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

　　Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

　　Excellent attention to detail

　　Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

　　Competent with spreadsheets and databases

　　Expertise in Code Invoices

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience

　　Deep understanding of Coding

　　Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
