Description

　　Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a contract position. An Accounts Payable Clerk is a professional responsible for managing the financial transactions related to the accounts payable function of a company. Their primary focus is on ensuring that the organization pays its vendors and suppliers accurately and in a timely manner.

　　Duties include:

　　Invoice Processing: Receive and review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.

　　Data Entry: Enter invoice details, such as vendor information, invoice amounts, and payment terms, into the accounting system.

　　Coding and Approval: Assign appropriate general ledger codes to expenses and ensure invoices are approved by the relevant departments before processing for payment.

　　Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments through various methods, including checks, electronic transfers, and wire transfers.

　　Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other related matters.

　　Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and resolve any discrepancies.

　　Month-end Closing: Support the month-end closing process by providing accurate and timely accounts payable reports.

　　Recordkeeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

　　Reporting: Generate reports on accounts payable aging, cash flow, and other relevant financial metrics for management review.

　　Requirements

　　Previous experience in accounts payable or a related field.

　　Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in data entry.

　　Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.

　　Strong organizational and time management skills.

　　Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.

　　Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
