Description RH is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team, local client. This is a permanent, contract to permanent position that is fully ON-SITE - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Responsibilities
Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures Processing of Accounts Payable through online portals and other electronic payment systems Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data Work closely with Vendors and Customers to answer questions and fulfill requests Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients Generate reports detailing accounts payables status Understand expense accounts and cost centers Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.) Support accounting team with various projects and tasks as needed Requirements Required Qualifications and Experience
Some accounting and/or bookkeeping education is required 1+ years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience Strong attention to details and accuracy is a must Ability to think analytically with good problem-solving skills Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines Desire to learn and grow within the field of accounting detail oriented business communication skills Proficient in computer software – Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a must Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures is a must Must be flexible, have a positive attitude, be willing to learn new things and train others as needed
