We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Beachwood, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of our organization. This includes managing daily financial operations, implementing and refining financial controls, and managing a small team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain the highest ethical standards in all areas of accounting, including investment accounting, treasury management, financial services and reporting, and domestic payroll.

• Develop and implement financial practices and procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and controls.

• Manage relationships with financial institutions including banks, investment advisers, and insurance companies.

• Prepare custom financial reports and budgets for the organization and related entities.

• Execute investment directives as per the organization's strategy.

• Oversee bill payment and reconciliation processes and financial aspects of HR administration.

• Advise on liquidity to ensure resource availability to fund investments and obligations.

• Drive overall financial risk management and related insurance functions.

• Manage all personal tax issues and returns of the family members and supervise third party tax compliance firms.

• Liaise with accountants and tax advisers to minimize tax liabilities.

• Manage a team of 2-3, ensuring their professional growth and development.

• Exercise sound judgement and discretion on all matters, demonstrating discernment to know when to ask questions.

Requirements • Candidate must possess at least 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the accounting field.

• Proficiency in various accounting functions is essential.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• A strong background in auditing is necessary.

• Familiarity with billing functions is crucial.

• Expertise in QuickBooks is expected.

• Experience in managing month-end close procedures is required.

• Proficiency in preparing financial statements is essential.

• Previous experience in a supervisory role is necessary.

• Strong skills in cash management and daily cash management are required.

• Experience in treasury is essential.

• The candidate should have experience in maintaining business banking relationships.

• A track record of process improvement in previous roles is desirable.
