My client is a for profit organization looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team in Washington, DC. The ideal Accounting Manager for the role will be responsible for supporting the overall accounting operations, overseeing staff accountants, posting various journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts monthly, analyzing financial reports and preparation of the financial statements. The organization is located in a great area, has great work-life balance and excellent benefits.

Daily responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include:

· Assist with day-to-day accounting operations.

· Oversee Staff Accountants.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts.

· Post various journal entries.

· Assist with month-end close.

· Assist with other ad hoc duties.

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Manager we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· 5+ years of accounting experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

· CPA or pursuing CPA licensure, a plus.

· Prior experience with Microsoft Great Plains, a plus.

· Strong communication skills.
